AeroMedical Staging Facility
The “Adopt a Room” Program began as an opportunity to bring the comforts of home into a sterile hospital environment. Military members, who are injured while in action in Iraq or Afghanistan, come to the ASF following stabilization and re-entry back to the states for recuperation. The Scott AFB ASF is a necessary stopping point on a long journey home. Chapter 82’s focused efforts in creating “The Bistro” with the comfortable surroundings of home is our way to say thanks and help make things better during the wait before going home for recovery.
The completed room features over $4500 worth of equipment and supplies including a Samsung LCD TV, fireplace with mantle, bar tables and chairs, air hockey table and additional pool table equipment.
